WHO WE ARE:
Torchbearers must be baptized and a minimum of eight years of age.
Crucifers must be baptized and know all the functions of the Torch Bearers.
WHAT WE DO:
Torch Bearers carry torches representing the “Light of Christ” during the processional, recessional and gospel procession. They light and extinguish the Altar candles.
Crucifers carry processional crosses, flags and banners. As experienced Acolytes, they must know all the duties and
WHEN AND WHERE WE MEET:
Training for Torch Bearers and Crucifers is offered as needed in the Church Sanctuary.
WHAT WILL BE EXPECTED OF ME:
Torch Bearers are expected to learn Episcopal customs and traditions. They will be asked to serve about once every three weeks.
Crucifers must be physically able to carry the large crosses, flags and banners. They help direct the Torch Bearers and learn Episcopal customs and traditions. They will be asked to serve about once every three weeks.

O God, our gracious Father: Bless the servers of your Church that they may so serve before your earthly altar in reverence and holiness, that they may attain, with all your saints and angels, the joy of serving you and worshiping you before your Heavenly Altar; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
